About the Role
As a Child and Family Health Nurse, you will work across the Child Health Information Link (CHIL) centralised intake team 3 days a week and the clinical team 2 days a week. In this combined role you will support infants, young children and their families through the critical early years of life. Working with children from birth to five years of age, you will provide evidence-based assessments, health education, developmental screening, immunisation support, and early intervention services within a community setting. You will deliver family-centred care that promotes positive health outcomes while identifying and responding to clinical concerns, complex family needs, and child safety risks. Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, you will coordinate care, build strong therapeutic relationships, and contribute to a supportive and responsive service that empowers families to thrive.
About You
You are a compassionate and skilled Child and Family Health Nurse with current registration and postgraduate qualifications or enrolment in child and family health nursing. You bring sound clinical judgement, strong assessment skills and a commitment to delivering safe, family-centred care. You are confident managing a diverse caseload, including families with complex needs, and are able to recognise and respond appropriately to child wellbeing and safety concerns. With excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children, parents and carers, you work effectively both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams. You are comfortable using technology to support clinical practice and are committed to ongoing professional development, A current unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence is essential to support community-based service delivery.

Ideal Candidate
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Qualifications in Child and Family Health Nursing or currently enrolled in a Child and Family Health accredited course and a current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 licence is acceptable).
- Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
