About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. The Radiology Administration Manager is responsible for the overall management of administrative functions in the Department of Radiology, RPAH (RPA Radiology), as well as its satellite service in Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. Managing the team of administrative staff, the position supports the effective and efficient operations of the department in the provision  of bookings and appointment management services, finance and billing support and typing support. The Administration Manager is responsible for ensuring the team provides exceptional customer service with a focus on Patient and Family Centred Care, and their activities align with the objectives of RPA Radiology.

Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant tertiary qualification(s) in management or demonstrated extensive work experience in administrative management in a medical environment or office management role.
  • Ability to manage staff through leadership, team building skills and the coordination and provision of training in office functions for a busy clinical environment.
  • High level of interpersonal, written, verbal and telephone communication skills as well as experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation of challenging or difficult situations.
  • Experience in participating in quality assurance activities including accreditation processes and ability to prepare and implement procedures/guidelines within an integrated multidisciplinary environment.
  • Organisational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritise a demanding workload under pressure to meet tight deadlines, whilst maintaining attention to detail and high quality of output.
