  2. Four year degree in psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in psychology or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer and full registration as Psychologist with APHRA.
  3. Experience working in an acute hospital or community health setting as a practising Psychologist in the field of intellectual disability; good liaison and engagement skills with a range of key stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
  5. Demonstrated sound knowledge and application of psychological interventions relevant to children, adolescents and adults with intellectual disability and experience writing reports with recommendations for patients.
