Selection Criteria:
  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category
  2. Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) as an Advanced Trainee or equivalent; or has attained RACS Fellowship in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery or equivalent
  3. Completion of mandatory training as required by RACS or equivalent preferable
  4. Sufficient prior experience such that completion of this Paediatric Provisional Fellow Training would permit a reasonable expectation of appointment at a consultant level to a tertiary paediatric ENT surgery unit
  5. Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals
  6. Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, and willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff
  7. Understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research proposal
  8. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management and contribution to the development of hospital services e.g. participation in Paediatric Junior Staff matters, representation on behalf of the Hospital, participation in Hospital Committees preferable

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.​ Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. This is a Category A position.
