Remuneration: $42.58 - $56.65 Per Hour + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the team:
This position will work within the Palliative and End of Life Care Clinical (P&EOLCC) Stream. The team are based in various locations across the district with offices in Newcastle and Tamworth. The team support each other through regular online meetings. The P&EOLCC Stream is committed to providing services that are inclusive of Aboriginal perspectives; engage Aboriginal partners, staff, and clients; and embed cultural inclusion into everyday processes to ensure meaningful and respectful engagement with the communities we serve. The successful candidate will be supported by the Palliative Care Service Development Officer and District Clinical Network Manager. Cultural support and supervision will be made available. Support will be provided in the form of orientation and training, leader rounding and performance feedback and professional development.
About the role:
This is a new position and an opportunity to lead the development of processes to support Aboriginal people and their families to access P&EOLC services and support Aboriginal staff working within the P&EOLCC Steam. A key role of the position will be to consult and collaborate with key stakeholders in the development of a palliative and end of life care model that reflects local communities’ values, cultural beliefs, rituals and traditions of Aboriginal people.
