About the role
With your skills and experience, you can contribute to the millions of ways we’re enhancing health and wellness while developing your career as part of the largest health organisation in Australia.
You will be responsible for leadership of the development, management and evaluation of strategic policy, programs and projects within the Child and Family Health, Healthy Families and Communities portfolio.
Provide sound information and advice on current and emerging policy issues to Senior Executives and key staff within the Ministry of Health, public health organisations and related government agencies to support effective decision making.
Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $149,939 - $173,174 p.a. plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards

What you'll be doing
Make operational decisions to plan and organise the work of your team to achieve agreed business objectives and performance criteria.
Inform and influence public sector strategic directions by monitoring and analysing state, national and international trends and developments to identify, develop and implement new approaches and programs.
Be an authoritative source of advice for internal and external stakeholders on Child and Family Health policy matters and other portfolios as may be allocated from time to time, and their integration with the business needs of NSW Health.
Accountable for reports, analysis, briefings and other forms of written advice prepared for the Ministry and Government, often on complex issues, although such advice is usually subject to review by the Director/Executive Director. These documents are expected to be prepared in final form with minimal input required from the Director/Executive Director.
About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:
Demonstrated relevant, professional experience in the area of on Child and Family Health policy and /or the broader Healthy Families and Communities portfolio. Relevant tertiary qualifications and management experience would be highly regarded.
Significant experience in developing, analysing and evaluating policy and other projects in a multi-disciplinary or multi-agency environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders to deliver on complex policy and program/project areas.
The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment.
