Remuneration: Crown Clerk Grade 9/10 $129,464- $142,665 p.a. plus super and annual leave loading
Hours per week: 35 hour working week, in a hybrid working environment. 5 days per fortnight in 1 Reserve Road

The Health System Strategy & Patient Experience, Social Policy and Health Equity branch is recruiting one full time temporary Senior Policy Officer to July 2027.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to join our End of Life and Palliative Care (EOLPC) team. This role will support Grant management, data analysis support, monitoring, reporting and project management, as well as some administration for the EOLPC program.
If this is a secondment opportunity you are required to have permission from your home agency to be released from your usual duties for the period.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the project cycle, including developing project plans/proposals, managing budget tracking, financial and data analytics and meeting reporting requirements to ensure the program outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate all aspects of funding enhancement implementation including grants, risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures.
- As the Senior Project Officer you will be responsible for managing stakeholder groups, monitor and report on deliverables and milestones and the position will develop, implement, and evaluate program activities.

Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstratable significant experience working in end-to-end complex project/program management, experience in Grant management and data analytics.
- Experience in developing, analysing and evaluating policy, grants and other projects in a multi-disciplinary or multi-agency environment.
Desirable requirements
- Excellent communication skills to provide high quality timely end of life and palliative care advice.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, teamwork and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships
- The ability to work independently with strong organisational and time management skills, to manage competing demands and meet deadlines.
- Experience working in government / Ministry of Health and Palliative Care an advantage.
