About the Role
Join the dynamic and supportive team within the John Hunter Hospital Admission Service, where you’ll play a vital role in coordinating patient admissions and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of admission workflows across the hospital.
As an Admissions Officer, you will:
- Oversee the coordination and processing of elective and emergency patient admissions.
- Ensure compliance with NSW Health and Ministry of Health policies and procedures.
- Support efficient elective surgery waitlist management and revenue integrity processes.
- Work collaboratively with multiple departments to deliver timely, patient-focused outcomes.
- Contribute to service succession planning and provide coverage across the 24/7 roster.

Experience in hospital admissions, patient administration systems (such as iPM or eMR), or NSW Health environments will be highly regarded.
