About Us

At Manning Hospital, our Patient Flow Team ensures every patient experiences a seamless and efficient journey through the hospital. We’re a collaborative group of Nurse Managers working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Nursing & Midwifery, we’re committed to patient-centred care, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

About the Role

As Patient Flow Manager, you’ll play a vital leadership role in:

  • Coordinating patient flow across departments using real-time data and proactive strategies.
  • Leading daily flow huddles and ensuring timely, safe transfers, admissions, and discharges.
  • Working with senior managers, frontline staff, patients, and families to improve the care experience.
  • Managing resources, staff development, and service performance to meet targets and KPIs.

This role is Monday - Friday, morning shifts, allowing you to enjoy work-life balance while making a meaningful difference.

About You

You’re a Senior Registered Nurse (AHPRA registered) with:

  • Strong clinical expertise and leadership experience.
  • The ability to stay calm and solution-focused in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and a knack for building collaborative teams.
  • A commitment to service excellence, continuous improvement, and patient-centred care.

Additional information:

  • An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time vacancies.
  • This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered
  • To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
