The Role

The Operational Nurse Manager – Far West Region position is a leadership role which has a line management and overall responsibility for nursing services across the NSW Far West region. The key accountability of this role is to lead the nursing team to ensure coordinated, safe, and timely service delivery and care provision with a key focus on patient-centred care.

The major responsibilities of this position are to manage the operation and delivery of health services, as a key member of the MDT, within Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (Justice Health NSW) correctional centres and police cell complexes within the Far West region, including Wellington Correctional Centre, Broken Hill Correctional Centre, Macquarie Correctional Centre, Bathurst Correctional Centre, Lithgow Correctional Centre, Kirkconnell Correctional Centre and Oberon Correctional Centre.

The Operational Nurse Manager – Far West Region will work within Justice Health NSW and Ministry of Health policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) rules and regulations as set out in the relevant legislation.

 

Your Experience

We are looking for a qualified health care professional with:

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Tertiary qualifications in health management or working towards AND/OR combination of study and work experience.
  • Hold a current NSW Driver Licence.
