- A Registered Nurse appointed as such to a position approved by the Secretary NSW Health and who is endorsed by the Board, to practice as a nurse practitioner.
- Demonstrated understanding and expertise in working as a Nurse Practitioner in a Drug and Alcohol setting.
- Demonstrated high level of skills in the provision of consultation, treatment and referral services to patients with substance use issues in accordance with a Nurse Practitioners Scope of Practice.
- Demonstrated ability to liaise and provide education to other health professionals and the broader community on Drug & Alcohol issues.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and can work with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
