The Role
This position provides comprehensive and integrated evidence based nursing education services for educational programs supporting the Mental Health portfolio across the nursing professional continuum (newly registered and experienced nurses) to enhance safe quality care.

Essential Requirements:
- Current authority to practice as a registered nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and a current NSW Driver's License
- Holds a relevant clinical or educational post registration qualification and/or substantial clinical and educational experience.
Our location, team, and service
Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network is a state-wide Specialty Health Network delivering health care to adults and young people in contact with the forensic mental health and criminal justice systems across community, inpatient and custodial settings.
The Forensic Hospital is a high-secure forensic mental health facility in New South Wales, operated by Justice Health NSW. This facility provides specialist, therapeutic inpatient care for adults and adolescent forensic, correctional and high-risk civil patients.
A multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing and allied health professionals are dedicated to providing a care across the clinical spectrum, from high dependency and acute care, to long stay and rehabilitation care. While working at the Forensic Hospital you will develop strong professional connections with colleagues and making a positive contribution to vulnerable people. This dynamic work environment is interesting, stimulating, challenging, rewarding and one where you can have a positive impact on the lives of patients and their families.
Long Bay Hospital is a non-acute 85 bed health care facility located on the Long Bay Correctional Complex in Malabar. It provides mental health, medical, aged and rehabilitative and palliative care to patients in the correctional system.

*A mandatory and comprehensive two-week, full-time orientation is provided for all new staff at Forensic Hospital. All days are paid. The next intake dates are on 3 February 2025 and 24 March 2025.
Salary & Benefits
Your salary $131,870.9 - $134,500.7 per annum plus super and leave loading is just the beginning.
