What you'll be doing
MNCLHD New Street Service is a NSW Health child protection initiative and part of a developing network of services delivered by Local Health Districts in New South Wales. It provides counselling intervention to families of children and young people (10 – 17 years) who have sexually harmed.
The Counsellor position will contribute to the appropriateness and effectiveness of the New Street Service in meeting the needs of Aboriginal children, young people, families and communities.
About you
Do you have Tertiary Degree in Social Work or other equivalent qualification providing eligibility for membership of AASW or Current full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with a four year degree in psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in psychology, or a qualification deemed equivalent by the employer and have completed a minimum of one year at the 9th year of service and thereafter point on the salary scale for Psychologist and demonstrated ability to provide counselling services to individuals, and families in the context of child sexual assault, trauma, violence and abuse.
