What you'll be doing

Getting On Track In Time (GOT-IT!) is a school-based mental health early intervention service for children in years Kindergarten to Year 2. Got It! is a whole of school approach within the Perinatal, Child and Youth Mental Health Service. The program works with children, parents, carers and school staff to deliver a program which is Child-centered, trauma informed and strengths-based.

This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.


  1. Qualifications eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or qualifications recognised for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.; or qualifications eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; or qualifications eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  2. High level of interpersonal skills and commitment to working closely with other members of a multi-disciplinary team.

  3. Clinical skills and experience in the assessment and treatment of children and their families presenting with complex mental health needs, using evidence-based approaches.

  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people and engage young people and their families successfully.
  5. Competent computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software programs (eg word processing, data management systems and spreadsheets)
  6. Current unrestricted Drivers Licence and ability to travel as required.
