$72,152.53 – $116,963.48 
per annum (dependent on qualifications) + superannuation + salary packaging

About the role:

Working within the Tamworth Mental Health Service’s Adult Community Team, you will be responsible for providing high quality rehabilitation assessments and individually tailored clinical rehabilitation interventions. You will also manage care co-ordination within a rehabilitation framework for consumers with complex clinical situations, as well as providing specialist advice to your colleagues in relation to consumers rehabilitation needs. You will work collaboratively with NDIS and Community Manager Organisation sector to facilitate appropriate supports for consumers. As a senior clinician, you will provide professional supervision, leadership and advocacy for the profession within the service.

You will be supported by the Line Manager and Professional Leads, with regular structured clinical supervision, professional development, and ongoing education on offer.

New England North West Mental Health Service provides acute mental health care and comprises of a multidisciplinary team including Psychiatrists, Resident Medical Officers, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals that work collaboratively to provide contemporary mental health assessment, planning and management for individuals experiencing acute mental health conditions. We are seeking an experienced clinician with a passion for recovery to join us!

About You:

Your communication and interpersonal skills will be highly utilised in this position to build relationships with customers, families and other professionals as you work together to establish goals, ensure needs are met and maintain customers maximum level of health and independence. You will have the ability to provide mental health assessments and will be dedicated to upholding Hunter New England Local Health District's values of Excellence for Every Patient. Every Time.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Clin Psychology/ clin psych in training, Nursing, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental health, Djirruwang Program), Nutrition and Dietetics which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. For a CNS2: relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of a post-graduate qualification.
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and the willingness to travel in the course of employment.
