This position is graded as an Occupational Therapist Level 1/2, Social Worker Level 1/2, Psychologist and Registered Nurse. Candidates who have completed a degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health (Djirruwang Program) may be appointed as a Counsellor Level 1/2.
About the service:
Moree Community Mental Health Service provides a high quality, evidence-based clinical service consisting of assessment, care co-ordination, intervention, liaison and review for adults and their family and carers referred to the service with a mental illness or disorder.

About the position:
As a Mental Health Professional within the service, you will provide efficient and effective assessment and care coordination services for people experiencing mental health concerns and their families and carers.
The dynamic, multidisciplinary team is supported by the Clinical Coordinator with clinical supervision available and encouraged to support your professional development and career growth. Support and encouragement to extend your skills via education and professional development is highly valued within the team.
About you:
The successful candidate will be passionate about the local community, enjoy working in collaboration with key stakeholders and will possess the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary team.
You will also be person-centred, recovery-oriented and attentive to consumers’ biopsychosocial needs. Your high level communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in partnership with consumers, carers, general practitioners and other services and supports will be essential to your success in this position.
Requirements:
- Must hold a qualification: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental health, Djirruwang Program) which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Eligible to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work purposes.
