Exciting Medico-Legal Officer two positions have become available to join the Health Information Services Department at the Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) on Full-Time permanent or Full time short-term (12 Months).

Remuneration: $36.46 - $37.29 per hour

What you'll be doing
The principal objective of the Medico-Legal team is to protect the privacy of patients and carers, which includes releasing information in accordance with The Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (HRIPA).
The Medico-legal Officer is primarily responsible for processing requests for information from patients, third parties and hospital executives for the provision of copies of medical records, medical reports, statements of attendance, deceased paperwork processing, summaries of injury and expert witness statements as permitted and/or directed under current legislation and NSW Health Policies and Directives.
