What you'll be doing 
Step into a leadership role at Westmead BCI, where you’ll drive excellence in breast imaging, patient care, and team education.

  • Lead advanced mammography & ultrasound to detect early changes

  • Mentor & upskill staff in QA & clinical imaging best practices

  • Deliver expert care with empathy in a fast-paced, vital service

  • Support screening access by travelling across multiple sites

  • Shape service delivery through rostering, teamwork & liaison

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualification:  Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent 

  • Registration: Current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner 

  • License: NSW Environment Protection Agency EPA Radiation Licence IA14  

 

Selection Criteria:

1.     Demonstrated experience in Breast Imaging (Mammography and Breast Ultrasound) and in providing high quality Breast Imaging services that are patient/client focused according to the objectives and policies of the BCI

2.     Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

3.     High level customer service skills, and effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with patients/clients.

4.     Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative to ensure efficient daily department workflow.

5.     Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues, problem solving, formulating new approaches and implementing comprehensive change programs and improvement strategies, including the ability to develop and monitor outcomes

6.     High working knowledge of mammography equipment and knowledge of BreastScreen Australia Program and the National Accreditation Standards

7.     Excellent and detailed working knowledge of RIS PACS in both Diagnostic and Screening Breast Imaging Programs and managing of any PACS data related issues.
