About the position:
Our Imaging Department are seeking a Administration officer. As part of Hunter New England Imaging, you will provide high-quality, efficient reception and administrative support. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating imaging appointments and ensuring effective communication between patients, radiographers, doctors, hospital wards, and other healthcare facilities to facilitate smooth and timely examinations. Your daily responsibilities will include greeting and assisting patients, managing data entry, handling telephone inquiries, and scheduling appointments.


Where you’ll be working:
Manning Base Hospital is a key healthcare facility in the region, serving the residents of Greater Taree, Great Lakes, and Gloucester local government areas. As an acute hospital, it provides a broad range of specialist services that cater to both immediate and ongoing healthcare needs. With a capacity of 180 beds, the hospital is well-equipped to handle various medical conditions while providing the community with access to essential healthcare.



About you:

  • Frontline administration experience is essential: Candidates must have a solid foundation in administrative duties, particularly in fast-paced, front-facing roles. Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is highly regarded.
  • Customer service experience is essential: The ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients, healthcare providers, and staff is crucial. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for creating a positive experience by addressing concerns, answering questions, and guiding patients through the process. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key in maintaining a high standard of service.
  • High level of computer literacy: Proficiency in using computers and common office software is important for managing appointments, maintaining records, and coordinating with different departments. and training on specific systems will be provided.
