What you'll be doing

The provision of specialised, information, education, and support to all clients who experience a breast cancer diagnosis, in accordance with the McGrath Model of Care and evidence based clinical practice guidelines.

This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.

 

  1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and post graduate qualifications with at least 3 years full time experience in the relevant field 
  2. Demonstrated ability to work independently and also to work collaboratively with clients, carers, the multidisciplinary team and services across the continuum 
  3. Proven high level of organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet competing demands and KPIs, utilising technology to create reports and documents as required. 
  4. High level communication skills and proven ability to implement change and practice development across a multidisciplinary team using current evidence and research to improve health care outcomes. 
  5. Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical governance and leadership, and experience in the provision of education to peers, clients and other service providers. 
  6. Demonstrated commitment to developing and improving personal education skills appropriate to the position. 
  7. Demonstrated ability to build culturally safe and respectful nursing practices. 
  8. Current NSW driver's license and ability and willingness to travel for work purposes
