Where you'll be working
The role primarily focuses on Hepatitis B screening, prevention and clinical management, and is responsible for the co-ordination of care of high-risk patients in collaboration with a large multi-disciplinary team which includes medical officers, allied health, community health practices and CNC’s. In addition, the Hepatology CNC is responsible for running rapid access clinics and developing care pathways to support the journey and meet the needs of this vulnerable patient group.
What you'll be doing
The CNC will formulate and implement policy, guide practice development, and engage in education and research activities. The CNC is responsible for the provision of clinical supervision to nursing staff and acts as a role model, providing nursing care on a regular basis.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered with Authority to Practice with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Minimum five years full time post graduate experience with 3 years full time equivalent in the specialty field. In addition the applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification (minimum Grad Diploma/Certificate level) or evidence of working towards Masters level qualification.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and an understanding of the practice development framework.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake quality improvement and research activities that influence and enhance clinical practice and implement change.
