Where you'll be working
The Kirketon Road Centre (KRC) is a primary health care facility located in Kings Cross, involved in the prevention, treatment and care of HIV/AIDS and other transmissible infections among ’at-risk’ young people, sex workers and people who inject drugs.
The Role
This position will co-ordinate hepatitis C treatment at KRC including the assessment, monitoring and follow-up of clients with chronic hepatitis C. This position will provide advanced, evidence-based primary health care nursing at KRC with a focus on hepatitis C care.
KRC is one of the SESLHD Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Services, and this position may collaborate with those services as required.

Selection Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum five years full time equivalent post graduate qualification experience and a post graduate qualification in a relevant field of practice.
- Proven experience in the delivery of hepatitis C evidence based care.
- Proven clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
- Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning.
- Proven skills in clinical teaching, the identification of education needs in the clinical area, and competency in the use of contemporary information systems.
- Ability to apply clinical expertise in client-centred consultancy and the ability to work independently in a range of settings including outreach locations.
