 Health Information Officer, Patient Administration System (PAS) Support Officer - Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick

The Role

The PAS Support officer is primarily responsible for providing ongoing support, training and maintenance of the Patient Administration System (iPM) in relation to patient registration. This includes ensuring the integrity of patient information in iPM and eMR by updating patient information, correctly issuing new Medical Record numbers (MRNs), investigating and rectifying double registrations, potential duplicates and patient mix ups.

  1. Ability to perform a wide range of administrative tasks, monitoring and determining work priorities to enable adjustments to workflow as required
  2. Experience in responding to a range of enquiries and determining the appropriate response in a complex work environment
  3. High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  4. Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service and quality improvement initiatives in workplace practices and procedures
  5. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Application Suite and working knowledge of Hospital Information systems such as iPM and eMR.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  7. Demonstrated initiative and ability to problem solve issues relating to clinical data integrity.
