This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.


What you'll be doing
Providing a safe and secure environment for staff, patients and visitors, and assisting clinical staff in the care and comfort of patients
  1. Must hold a current Class 1A Security Licence with the NSW Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED), current Senior First Aid Certificate and current valid drivers licence. MNCLHD Master Licence 410572298.
  2. Demonstrated skills to manage aggressive incidents and / or challenging behaviours and respond to duress situations.
  3. Demonstrated flexibility in taking directions from supervisors and ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively, with all levels of staff, as well as patients/clients and members of the public.
  5. Demonstrated understanding and ability to comply with environmental cleaning and knowledge of work health and safety principles, including safe manual handling and infection control.
  6. Participation in a 7 day rotating roster that includes weekends, public and school holidays, including morning, afternoon and night shifts.
  7. Understanding and willingness to work in a morgue environment
