  1. Completion of MBBS or equivalent and holding current general registration with APHRA
  2. Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners and / or Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine
  3. Demonstrated ability to exercise a moderate degree of professional independence within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent skills, judgement and expertise.
  4. Demonstrated skills in and commitment to improvements in clinical care, patient safety and risk management processes, including the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams to achieve change.
  5. High level interpersonal communication and team skills, and a sensitive approach to communication with patients, carers, other professionals, and the public.
  6. Demonstrated experience and well-developed skills in working within health care organisations and the outside community, including capacity to use electronic communications (e.g. electronic records) effectively.
  7. Evidence of participation in continuing professional development and commitment to the broader service objectives of the public health system, including the effective utilisation of resources, and participation in activities beyond direct patient care
  8. Demonstrated commitment to practicing medicine and advanced skill in a regional or rural setting in New South Wales.
