Food Service Assistants - Randwick

Remuneration: $57,614.53 per annum, ($29.06 per hour) plus shift allowances and 12% superannuation
Hours Per Week: Full Time is 38 hours per week, Part Time is 20 hours per week
Location: Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick
The Opportunity
HealthShare NSW are seeking compassionate and dedicated Food Services Assistants, for a new kitchen opening in the Sydney Children’s Hospital. Start date for these roles is October 2025.
To be successful in this role you must have permanent working rights (be an Australian Citizen or hold Permanent Residency) and be available every day for shifts on a 7 day rotating roster, shift times vary and start from 6am. There are multiple shifts, you will need to be available from 6am to 8:30pm.
In this role you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients in our hospital. Your responsibilities will include:
order taking
meal assembly
meal preparation and distribution of patient meals
recording intake
dishwashing and other associated cleaning duties
waste management

Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa
This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 12) for a complete list of required vaccines.
