Location: Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Leading Hand in Food Services at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick for a new kitchen opening in the Sydney Children’s Hospital. Start date for these roles is October 2025.
Working across a rotating seven-day roster, you will be responsible for order taking, meal assembly, meal preparation and distribution of patient meals, recording intake, dishwashing, and other associated cleaning duties. You'll need to work well in a collaborative environment and show initiative as you serve NSW Health hospital patients to ensure an optimal service.
We are looking for experienced leaders from any industry, who are strong communicators and passionate about delivering quality customer service.
To be successful in this role you must have permanent working rights (be an Australian Citizen or hold Permanent Residency) and be available every day for shifts on a 7 day rotating roster, shift times vary and start from 5.30am. There are multiple shifts, you will need to be available from 5.30am to 8:30pm.

Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa
This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 12) for a complete list of required vaccines.
