The Cancer Institute NSW is the NSW Government’s cancer control agency, established to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

What you’ll be doing

 

The role is responsible for supporting the organisation's strategic goals through planning, preparation, marketing, management and delivery of key events held by the Cancer Institute.

Remuneration/Benefits

In addition to base salary:

  • 5% superannuation
  • 4 weeks annual leave (plus 17.5% leave loading)
  • 10 days sick leave
  • 40 hours per week which include accrual of monthly Allocated Day Off (ADO) x 12 per year.

Essential requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering successful large-scale events and conferences, with minimal supervision, and effective management of project event budgets and risks.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing external suppliers and generating event sponsorship opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills and proven written skills and ability to produce high quality documentation and communications materials for a range of audiences.
  • Proven skills and experience in project management and the capacity to manage a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders whilst dealing with competing priorities and delivering high quality outcomes within agreed deadlines.

If successful for interview candidates must bring original copies of essential qualifications to be sighted by the panel, and one copy to provide to panel.

  • Please provide an example of a medium to large scale event that you have coordinated and how you ensured successful outcomes?
