About Us

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.

Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

An excellent opportunity is now available for Enrolled Nurses to join the Children's Ward, located at Nepean Hospital. On offer are Temporary Full time or Part time roles for the Winter Bed Strategy until September 2025.

Your role as the Enrolled Nurse is the provision of safe patient care, provision of care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse specific to service need. This position will see you contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required.

This position will see you work with the Registered Nurse (RN) as part of the health care team and demonstrates competence in the provision of person-centred care. Core practice generally requires the Enrolled Nurse to work under the direct or indirect supervision of the RN. At all times, the EN retains responsibility for his/her actions and remains accountable in providing delegated nursing care. The need for the Enrolled Nurse to have a named and accessible RN at all times and in all contexts of care for support and guidance is critical to patient safety.

Our positive and innovative environment will offer many opportunities and career pathways whilst being supported by an experienced and dedicated team consisting of a Nurse Manager, NUM's, Nurse Practitioners, CNC's, CNE, CNS's and RN's.
