Engineering Handy Person

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated handyperson experience in maintenance of large building complexes and facility maintenance, preferably hospitals, and able to work as part of a team in a busy work environment.
2. Demonstrated handyperson skills including the use of a variety of tools and equipment, installation of minor fixtures and fittings, general building maintenance and repairs and moving of furniture and equipment.
3. Able to demonstrate good organisational and time management skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision while following safe work practices.
4. Proven skills in fault finding and problem solving, including the ability to interpret building and services plans.
5. Proven ability to work and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team of trade, non-trade, and contract staff to efficiently deliver maintenance services.
6. Sound written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and work order systems. Interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively personally and within a team environment in the workplace.
7. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Work, Health and Safety and preferably hold a current white card Occupational Health and Safety General Induction for Construction in NSW Certificate.
8. Current drivers licence (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
