What you will bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualifications in data science, analytics, ICT or similar, or equivalent demonstrated experience, sufficient to provide a deep and nuanced understanding of the best practice in analytics, reporting, business intelligence and data science.
- Experience in leading and managing team(/s) of data professionals, and expertise in embedding standardised, consistent and robust processes for data analysis. Ability to upskill and empower technical staff to increase capability and adopt modern techniques and processes.
- Understanding of the health system and the relevant processes, systems, and regulatory requirements - demonstrated experience in clinical costing, casemix and Activity Based Management processes, DNR submissions is essential.
- Experience managing complex data and analytics projects end-to-end – from gathering requirements, setting up data pipelines, designing and developing solutions, testing and iterating the solution to deploying, training and maintaining products on an ongoing basis. Detailed knowledge of best-practice analytics workflows, processes and tools including server management.
- Demonstrated experience in deriving valuable insights from data in a clinical, healthcare setting, including using data to understand and improve patient experience, or to understand the impact on patient outcomes arising from changes to policy and procedure.
- Demonstrated experience improving organisational performance through the development of business intelligence, KPI reporting and data analysis.
- Proven skills in effectively communicating and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across a variety of specialisations and domains.
