Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
We are looking for an experienced Dietitian to join our Gastro Surgical team to lead quality improvement, service development, practice and redesign activities. As a senior member of the team, you will provide high-level specialised clinical nutrition services to clients of Nepean Hospital with gastrointestinal disorders and support all clinicians providing services to clients with gastrointestinal disorders across NBMLHD. Utilising your experience, you will also provide clinical supervision of level 1-2 and level 3 Dietitians and provide a consultancy service in nutritional care of clients with gastrointestinal disorders across NSW.

What you will bring to the role
- Tertiary qualifications in Nutrition and Dietetics and eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Australia.
- Extensive clinical experience and expertise in the nutritional management of patients with complex gastrointestinal disease and surgery.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, build networks and function at high levels as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and teaching skills including well developed skills in advocacy, negotiation and in the provision of clinical supervision to dietitians and students.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and complete quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to service management via review of service provision, practice development and/or redesign to improve services, operations and outcomes
- Current NSW drivers licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
