About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Dietetics Department at Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals in a senior role as Deputy Dietitian/Student Educator.
This position provides an important supervisory, management, education, and strategic role, and offers the opportunity to work with a variety of patient groups in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Campbelltown Hospital is also currently undergoing a significant redevelopment which will provide new and expanded clinical services.
What You'll be Doing
This position is responsible for supporting the Head of Department in managing and leading the Dietetics Department at [insert facility, service or LGA].
This position is responsible for providing patient centered and high quality nutrition services to clients in [insert facility, service or LGA], including applying high level clinical skills to patients as per caseload/clinical specialty commensurate with other duties. The position will also coordinate and supervise student placements, supervise students and provide clinical supervision of staff as appropriate.
The position will provide leadership in quality improvement, service development and evaluation, education and training, and support educational activities related to their discipline/clinical expertise.
The position supports the head of department with advice on clinical service development, practice and redesign in response to demand and client needs and advocates across the local health district.

- Post graduate qualification or Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics giving eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
- Extensive relevant clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of complex case load
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including group education, advocacy and negotiation skills; and excellent computer skills including a food service/diet management system eg. CBORD.
- Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement activities for service development
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and evidence based practice
- Demonstrated experience in managing staff performance
- Experience in coordinating and facilitating clinical supervision programs for students and staff
