What you'll be doing
As Deputy Chief Radiographer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient, effective, and safe delivery of high-quality imaging services across multiple clinical areas. You’ll oversee daily operations, workforce management, and quality improvement initiatives while maintaining hands-on clinical involvement. Key responsibilities will be to:
Manage day-to-day operations and coordinate radiography staff and resources
Support recruitment, rostering, professional development, and performance management
Ensure compliance with radiation safety, quality standards, and accreditation requirements
Oversee equipment maintenance, procurement, and asset management processes
Contribute to continuous improvement and patient-centred service delivery

Essential Criteria:
Qualification: Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent
Registration: Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority (AHPRA)
Licence: A current NSW EPA Radiation licence IA14

Extensive clinical practice in an imaging department and have demonstrated high level interpersonal communication skills regarding strategic and operational management, within a 'patient centered' service environment.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional team building expertise, liaison and negotiation skills, and experience in applying change management strategies.
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, and set priorities as a manager of finite resources, using analysis, data, strategic methodology and understanding of dynamic service delivery.
Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and demonstrated active participation and involvement in the development and maintenance of protocols, clinical reviews, teaching, presentations, conferences, or in-services.
Demonstrated competence in the use of Information Technology and tools in the operation and management of a Radiology Service
