About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. This permanent part-time role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to the wellbeing of parents, families and carers during one of the most critical times in their lives.
The Clinical Psychologist will provide specialist psychological and psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, case formulation and evidence-based interventions to support parents, families and carers of the NICU. Services may be delivered individually, with families or in groups, working closely within a multidisciplinary health care team. The role also involves contributing to research and evaluation of clinical outcomes, assisting in developing and delivering education and training programs, providing supervision to psychologists and supporting other disciplines within the Local Health District as required.
What You'll be Doing
The clinical psychologist will participate in research and the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services, and assist in the development and provision of education and training programs. The position is expected to supervise Psychologists and support other disciplines working within the LHD, according to organisational needs.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of state-wide services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. As a key teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, it provides extensive clinical services, including emergency care, cancer treatment, paediatrics, and mental health services. The hospital features 23 operating theatres and has a capacity for 877 beds.

- Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate Clinical Psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD) qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognized equivalent.
- Experience in working with individuals/parents/families/carers experiencing severe and complex psychosocial and mental health difficulties.
- Demonstrated competence and experience in a wide range of psychological assessment procedures, diagnosis and evidence based psychological interventions delivered to individuals, groups, and families.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to accomplish service goals and improved patient and/or consumer care and outcomes.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
