Coffs Harbour - Located halfway between Sydney and Brisbane you’ll find the tranquil seaside nature destination of Coffs coast. The place of plenty offers uncrowded beaches, complemented with an abundance of activities and attractions, excellent shopping, fantastic accommodation and award winning food and drink.

This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.

  1. Current full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with a Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or some other recognised clinical area in psychology that the employer deems relevant to the functions of the position. The postgraduate qualifications must be of no less than two years full time duration (or part-time equivalent) and include professional clinical coursework, clinical training and supervised placement experience as core components.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and practical ability to administer, score, analyse, interpret and report on best practice psychological assessment tools in Mental Health Rehabilitation.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and practical ability to deliver and evaluate best practice psychological interventions and talk-based therapies in mental health rehabilitation.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the National Mental Health Standards (2010); NSW Mental Health Act and (2007) and amendments or equivalent to same, Recovery and Rehabilitation principles and best practice guidelines for service delivery in mental health, particularly Mental Health Rehabilitation.
  5. Demonstrated sound time management and organisational skills with ability to manage a varied workload within a multi-disciplinary team.
  6. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, negotiation, advocacy, and liaison skills, written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of professional integrity.
  7. Current Driver’s Licence and ability to travel as required.
