About Us:
The Centre for Psychotherapy is the specialist service within Hunter New England Mental Health Service for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and Eating Disorders (ED) and is based in Newcastle at the James Fletcher site overlooking Newcastle beach. The service is recognised for its expertise in the treatment of BPD and ED with evidence based psychotherapeutic treatments. In addition to the provision of direct clinical care, the team is involved in the provision of clinical supervision, consultation, training and research. You will work with a team of experienced multi-disciplinary clinicians

About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide high quality, client-focussed evidence based psychological assessment, diagnosis and treatment for persons with Borderline Personality Disorder and Eating Disorders. The clinician will also be involved in the provision of supervision and consultation requiring knowledge and experience in the areas of BPD and EDs that is manifested in high levels of competence, initiative, innovation, responsibility.

The successful candidate will be part of a weekly peer consultation team and will receive individual supervision as required.

This position is full time; however, job share and/or part time arrangements will be considered.

About You:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced clinician to fulfil the Clinical Psychologist position at the Centre for Psychotherapy.


Requirements:

  • Completion of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited postgraduate clinical psychology qualification of no less than two years full time duration or recognised equivalent, displayed on the Psychology Board of Australia website.
