About the Opportunity
Fairfield Hospital is recruiting for a Clinical Midwifery Specialist to complement and enhance the current Womens and Childrens Service.
What You'll be Doing
The Clinical Midwifery Specialist Grade 2 will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

Fairfield hospital is located in one of NSW’s largest LGA’s and is a hub of diverse cultures, ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds. - Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD
- Demonstrated experience and skills in providing complex care in the relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of advanced evidenced based midwifery care
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
