What you'll be doing
  • Coordinating and facilitating The Children's Hospital at Westmead, redevelopment change and transition program.
  • Support and work with the Redevelopment Program  Director - CHW Change and Transition in all activities related to change and transition planning and clinical engagement. 
  • Work in partnership with Westmead Redevelopment partner organizations to coordinate the planning, development and implementation of change and transition program. These organizations include, WSLHD, Westmead Hospital, University of Sydney, HealthShare, Health Infrastructure, Project Management firm and the builder.
  • To ensure engagement of key clinical stakeholders and services in planning for CHW stage 2.
  • To lead organizational change and redesign of models of care to deliver transformation of patient care.
  • To facilitate consumer engagement in the planning and transition process and advocate the best and safest care for  children in the redevelopment.
  • To operate as part of the SCHN Redevelopment team and coordinate all relevant activities related to the  redevelopment with precinct partners.
  • To coordinate operational commissioning of CHW stage 2.
  1. Demonstrated high level skills and experience in change management and/or planning and development.
  2. Previous experience in clinical operations, operational management and or project management roles within Health.
  3. Significant health care experience in an operational setting and experience in health care.
  4. Demonstrated advanced level analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to provide high level influencing, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with managers and staff in a professional manner.
  5. Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of contemporary issues in health service planning, models of care and redesign.
  6. Relevant tertiary qualifications or previous experience in health service planning, management or a relevant discipline.
  7. Intermediate to advanced MS Word skills in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
