About the team

Our administration team of 17 plays an essential role in supporting the delivery of high-quality cancer care. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team including medical oncologists, haematologists, radiation oncologists, nurses, allied health professionals and radiation therapists.

 

About the role

As a Casual Administration Officer, you will provide essential administrative and customer service support across Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Haematology. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing professional reception and front-line customer service.
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments.
  • Accurate data entry and medical record management.
  • Responding to telephone and email enquiries.
  • Providing administrative support to clinical and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Helping ensure patients receive a seamless, respectful and professional experience throughout their treatment.


This position reports to the Administration Manager. 

This is a casual opportunity offering flexibility with days, making it an excellent option for candidates seeking a role that can fit around their other commitments.

Previous healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential — comprehensive training and support will be provided.

 

Support and training

You will be supported by the Administration Manager and an experienced administration team. Our structured four-week buddy program will give you the opportunity to work alongside experienced staff across Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and Haematology while building your skills and confidence.

What you'll be doing

Provide an efficient and effective administrative/clerical service within the HNELHD Engineering and Maintenance Unit and to the Technical Services Manager.
