About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced and compassionate nurse with a passion for mentoring and education? We are seeking an enthusiastic After-Hours Clinical Development Nurse to support our new graduate nurses as they navigate the early stages of their careers. This critical role provides mentorship, clinical guidance, and professional development to new graduates during after-hours shifts, ensuring their success in delivering exceptional patient care.

As the After-Hours Clinical Development Nurse, you will act as a trusted resource for new graduate nurses, offering hands-on support, answering clinical queries, and fostering a positive learning environment. You will collaborate with nursing teams across the facility to maintain high standards of care and help graduates build their confidence and clinical decision-making skills. Your role will also include identifying areas for development, providing feedback, and guiding graduates toward their professional goals.

We are looking for a highly skilled nurse with a background in acute care, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to education and leadership. What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 will provide safe, compassionate, quality, person centred specialist care and work in collaboration with patients/families/carers and a multidisciplinary team to achieve identified goals and outcomes.

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.


The hospital receives highly diverse presentations in ED as well as having general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital.   1. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
