Are you an organised, motivated and customer-focused administration professional looking to make a difference in healthcare? The Outpatient Centre Administration Team is looking for an enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our busy and supportive team. You will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care and helping patients and families access outpatient services efficiently.
About the team
The Outpatient Centre administration team works collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical staff to support a high volume of outpatient clinics. The team provides comprehensive administrative services that help ensure efficient patient flow, coordinated appointments and accurate clinical documentation.
With a strong focus on customer service, our administration team plays a key role in facilitating timely access to care and creating a positive experience for patients, families, carers and healthcare providers.
About the role
As an Administration Officer, you will be an important first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, providing professional and compassionate customer service by telephone, email and in person.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing referrals and patient registrations.
- Scheduling and coordinating outpatient appointments.
- Coordinating in-person and Telehealth clinics.
- Supporting efficient patient flow across outpatient services.
- Maintaining accurate clinical and administrative documentation.
- Processing billing and other administrative requirements.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals.
- Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to support the smooth coordination of outpatient services.
This is a busy and varied role where your organisation, communication skills and attention to detail will contribute directly to the patient experience.
About you

Experience in a healthcare or outpatient environment will be highly regarded, however, we are also interested in candidates who demonstrate the right skills, attitude and commitment to learning.
Support and development
You will be supported by the Outpatient Centre Administration Manager, who will provide guidance regarding procedures and protocols. You will also receive on-the-job training and support from experienced team members as you develop your knowledge and confidence in the role.
Within your first three months, you will have the opportunity to work with your manager to develop an individual training and development plan to support your ongoing learning and professional growth.
