About the Role

Armidale Hospital is seeking a dedicated Clinical Support Officer (CSO) to provide efficient and effective administrative support within the Surgical Ward. In this role, you will work in collaboration with and under the direct supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager.The Surgical Ward is a 22-bed unit with 31 nursing staff, and as a ward-based CSO, you will play a key role in supporting nurses, midwives, medical staff, and allied health professionals. 

You will be provided with comprehensive training, education, and support to help you succeed in this role, alongside our friendly and welcoming CSO team. This role is to Commence 10th June 2025 until 22nd March 2026 covering maternity leave with possible extension.


About You

  • You are an enthusiastic individual who works well both collaboratively within a team and autonomously.
  • You have excellent administration and time management skills, using task prioritisation to effectively complete all tasks within required timeframes. 
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and are able to use a wide range of computer hardware, software and electronic systems to complete work activities
  • A Certificate III in Health Administration (or willingness to obtain one) is desirable.
