  1. Relevant qualifications in health education and/or demonstrated ability to work in Aboriginal health with Aboriginal community-controlled organisations and engage with communities in a health promotion role using a harm reduction approach.
  2. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) including ability to engage and motivate people in a wide range of settings.
  3. . Demonstrated experience in identifying, negotiating and building effective partnerships with key stakeholders particularly in the Aboriginal settings
  4. . Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and also the ability to work with minimum supervision to deliver agreed outcomes within deadlines.
  5. Experience in working with, and the knowledge and understanding of, the issues faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities
  6. Current Drivers Licence
