This role is perfect for someone with a strong commitment to health and well-being, and a desire to contribute to the care and rehabilitation of patients in a culturally sensitive and supportive environment. As a trainee, you'll receive hands-on experience, mentorship, and training from our experienced physiotherapy team. You'll work closely with patients, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life. This position is responsible for the provision of Allied Health Assistant support for Physiotherapy services at Nepean Hospital.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Aboriginality - Being an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is a requirement for this position, Please demonstrate your Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under section 14 (d) of the Anti Discrimination Act 1977.
  2. Minimum Year 10 School Education or above who do not hold a certificate III and who are not already under a traineeship program
  3. A willingness to complete a certificate III in Allied Health Assistant qualifications throughout the traineeship program
  4. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  6. Demonstrated ability to independently undertake tasks once delegated and operate with minimal supervision.
