We’re seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to join the Switch/Reception Team at The Maitland Hospital 

Play a crucial role in ensuring smooth access, communication and support across the entire facility

 

 

Your Day-to-Day Impact

In this fast-paced and varied role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Deliver friendly, efficient telephony and reception services

  • Provide outstanding customer support to patients, visitors, and staff

  • Assist with live patient data after hours to keep everyone in the right place at the right time

  • Support the Emergency Department administratively

     


Your Skills and Qualities

You thrive in a busy, customer-focused environment and can remain calm under pressure. You work well in a team but are confident taking initiative when needed.

Key qualities include:

  • Passion for customer service and patient care

  • Ability to stay composed and make sound decisions under pressure

  • Strong teamwork skills, paired with autonomy and confidence

  • Experience using a switch system is highly valued 

  • Essential: Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster including nights & weekends
