Gosford Hospital is the major referral hospital for the Central Coast, delivering complex, high-acuity medical and surgical care to a rapidly growing community.
We are actively seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join high-performing inpatient, perioperative and specialist teams.

General Medicine at Gosford Hospital is a complex, high-acuity service managing a broad range of medical specialties, including:
Gastroenterology
Respiratory Medicine
Endocrinology
Renal Services
Stroke and Neurology
Medical Assessment Unit
Cancer Inpatient Unit
Our Cancer Inpatient Unit delivers specialised inpatient care for people with haematological and oncological conditions in an environment where compassion and clinical excellence go hand in hand.
You will support patients through complex treatment and recovery, providing safe, evidence-based care while building meaningful, respectful relationships with patients and their families.
Oncology experience is desirable but not essential strong acute capability and a willingness to undertake specialty education are key.
Surgical Services (Temporary and Permanent)
Our Surgical Inpatient Units provide comprehensive perioperative and post-operative care across a broad range of specialties, including:
Orthopaedics
Vascular Surgery
ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat)
General Surgery
Upper Gastrointestinal (Upper GI)
Colorectal Surgery
Urology
Gynaecology
Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery
Breast & Endocrine Surgery
Perioperative Services (Aesthetics/Recovery/Scrub/Scout)
Nursing Support Roster
Our Nursing Support Roster is the hospital’s agile clinical response team stepping in to maintain safe, high-quality care during periods of leave, surge or workforce pressure.
As part of NSR, you will:
Work across multiple acute areas
Maintain and expand your clinical breadth
Support teams during critical workforce gaps
Develop exceptional adaptability and resilience

Critical Care
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Critical Care stream, including:
Emergency Department (ED)
Cardiology & Coronary Care Services
These are fast-paced, high-acuity environments requiring strong clinical judgement, rapid assessment skills and confident decision-making.
Palliative Care (Temporary and Permanent)
Provide compassionate, dignity-focused care supporting patients and families through complex and sensitive clinical journeys.
Ideal for nurses with strong emotional intelligence and holistic care capability.
Transit Lounge (Temporary)
Support patient flow and discharge coordination within a structured and team-focused environment.
Ideal for adapatable nurses with strong communication and prioritisation skills.
About You:
Current AHPRA registration
Current working rights in Australia (no visa sponsorship available)
Recent acute hospital experience in Australia
Strong clinical judgement and escalation capability
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
A collaborative, professional approach
You are adaptable, accountable and confident in your clinical practice.
