Registered Nurse – Cancer Services
One of the available position is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.
The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is offering exciting opportunities for Registered Nurses to join the Cancer Services team.
These roles offer the chance to expand clinical expertise in cancer care while working in a supportive multidisciplinary environment along the NSW coastline.
About The Opportunity
The successful applicants will provide evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing haematology and oncology treatment, ensuring high standards of clinical practice, patient advocacy, and compassionate care delivery.
The position of Central Coast Cancer Services – Registered Nurse will work within a dedicated multi-disciplinary team environment aiming to improve the patient journey through the provision of comprehensive nursing care to patients with Haematological and Oncological malignancies.
You will deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to haematology and oncology patients, administer chemotherapy and supportive treatments in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards, monitor patient responses to treatment and escalate clinical concerns when required, monitor, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
The Cancer Centres are located across 3 sites within the district and will be required to work across each site (Gosford Cancer Day Unit, Wyong Cancer Day Unit and Radiotherapy Cancer Centre).

About You
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated post basic experience in oncology/haematology/radiation oncology nursing and/or willing to undertake education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in chemotherapy administration and/or the care of a patient undergoing Radiotherapy treatment.
- Demonstrated experience in holistic patient assessment in the area of cancer nursing.
