Lead with Heart: Drive Partnerships & Philanthropy at Calvary Mater Newcastle
As the Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager, you will lead the design and delivery of a philanthropy and partnerships strategy that directly supports life-changing healthcare, world-class research, and community wellbeing.
This hands-on leadership role reports to the General Manager and works closely with the Executive, Public Affairs and Communications Manager, and Calvary’s national philanthropy team to drive fundraising growth, strengthen brand visibility, and cultivate enduring relationships with donors, corporate partners, and community organisations.

Selection criteria
- Proven track record of delivering income growth and measurable impact as a senior fundraising or partnerships leader
- Degree qualified in relevant field and/or extensive experience in relevant fields such as philanthropy, partnerships or marketing. CFRE accreditation or FIA membership highly regarded
- Applied understanding of the Charitable Fundraising Act 1991 and philanthropic governance requirements.
- Exceptional communicator with strong influencing, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills across corporate, community and government sectors.
- Strategic, collaborative and purpose-driven, with a genuine passion for connecting generosity with improved patient care and community outcomes.
Employment details
- Employment status: Full-time Fixed-term contract (12 months)
- Salary Classification: Health Services Manager Level 3
- Remuneration: $127,150 to $144,444 plus superannuation dependent on skills and experience
