About the role
This full-time fixed-term position is available from 10 November 2025. This position has operational accountability for the Occupational Therapy team within the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and reports operationally and professionally to the Occupational Therapy Head of Department.
The Level 4 Team Leader will provide operational direction, lead, guide and manage the Occupational Therapy team within the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and facilitate the implementation of high levels of clinical expertise in order to provide high quality care to patients/clients and their carers consistent with AHPRA, Calvary Health Care Kogarah, NSW Health, and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.
What you bring
  • Recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award, current registration with AHPRA Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning.
  • Extensive post-graduate clinical experience within rehabilitation and aged care in a health care setting with demonstrated core competency skills in Occupational Therapy.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level guidance, leadership and strategic management of staff, resources, and services, with a strong focus on building team capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes while applying evidence-based practice to enhance clinical outcomes within the clinical area.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
  • Current unrestricted NSW Class C drivers licence or equivalent, and a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
  • Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah.
